Well, they did Australia proud!

There is no doubt when it comes to Australian athletes when competing on Australian soil, we stand up, fight and fly that Aussie flag high.

We did that over 198 times at Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Over 6,000 athletes and team officials from over 70 nations made history over the past fortnight. Show casing the worlds elite athletes from all sports in the Gold coast games.

The major highlight would be the record breakers – The Australian queens of the pool – The quartet of Shayna Jack, Bronte Campbell, Emma Keon & Cate Campbell. As you most likely know, the girls won gold & smashed the world record.

From the pool to track, many fans are asking the question! Did he retire to soon? And by “he” we refer to the fastest man on the planet. The Jamaican track stars failed to deliver being out right favourite in both the 100m and the 4×100 relay. It even had Usain bolt twitting the same question! I think I retired to soon! Will we see an iconic return to one of the most loved and recognised athletes on the planet or will he follow his new dream & sign for a professional football club? Only the future will know!

198 medals got handed to our brave Australia athletes this games! They showed dedication, courage, sportsmanship & passion that can only be found from the men & women who walk & train on the land down under.

Well done Australian Commonwealth games team! You did Australia Proud.
